Eighth grade math teacher and team leader Janet Delery was named one of three inaugural winners of the NC Champion Educators Award at the North Carolina CCSA conference yesterday in Greensboro.
The award came as a surprise to Mrs. Delery who had no idea she was secretly nominated, much less a winner. The state's Collaborative Conference for Student Achievement writes that this award is meant to "celebrate everything that is right about our local schools and the people who make it so." Ms. Delery is certainly reflective of everything that is right about Piedmont. Don't just trust me though, watch this video made in Mrs. Delery's honor by her students and coworkers. https://youtu.be/MMNqmqocUnc

Author"Celebrating Piedmont" logs only a small fraction of the learning magic the teachers of CMS' Piedmont Middle School, an IB World School. create daily. In that sense, it is authored by all the staff and students of Piedmont. It is curated by Ms. Gurthie who can be reached at the icons above. She'll be happy to brag about Piedmont's teachers and students any chance she gets! Please note this blog has only just begun and we have so much to show off! Come back again soon! |
