Piedmont graduate Becca O'Neill, sister of current Piedmont teacher and fellow alum Andy O'Neill was featured this week in a 7 minute documentary on the New York Times video page (Direct link at https://nyti.ms/2m3Bba5)
The video shows the tense work she is doing as an immigration attorney on behalf of a four month old baby, among others. If your student is interested in a career in law, they may find this Pirate's work fascinating. Mr. O'Neill used the clip to help his current sixth graders understand diverse perspectives and also to let them see that they are the future Piedmont distinguished alum working to protect others through the law.
