Ms. Czerwinski and Honors Art Class Wins Big with Green Guy! It's not every day that you get to brag about your award-winning dumpster so I am taking full advantage in the wake of today's announcement that we won 2nd Place in the the Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful Paint-A-Can Contest:
"WooHoo! Our Dumpster is Better than Your-rs! (unless your dumpster is the 1st place winner, in which case: Congratulations on having the best dumpster in all the land!) " In all seriousness, Ms. Czerwinski's students did a great job working within the parameters of the fun contest and we are truly proud of them. They created a great theme and character as you can see from the photos and helped spread an important message. After brainstorming a theme and story, they worked long hours to bring their vision to completion- even painting after school under threat of rain. Thanks so much to the recycling contest sponsors: Republic, ReCommunity Recycling, Mecklenburg County, Sherwin-Williams, and Coca-Cola! Ms. Czerwinski and our students are looking forward to being able to create more beautiful art thanks to their generosity! Remember what Green Guy says: "You don't have to be a Superhero to save the world...Recycle!"

Author"Celebrating Piedmont" logs only a small fraction of the learning magic the teachers of CMS' Piedmont Middle School, an IB World School. create daily. In that sense, it is authored by all the staff and students of Piedmont. It is curated by Ms. Gurthie who can be reached at the icons above. She'll be happy to brag about Piedmont's teachers and students any chance she gets! Please note this blog has only just begun and we have so much to show off! Come back again soon! |
