How to Upload Video to Youtube

10/20/2014

If you've made an awesome video (follow these video-making instructions if you want )
and  you are old enough for a Youtube account, follow these instructions with parent permission to upload from an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Will be slightly different on android. You can also use Google Drive

  1. Make a movie using a camera or app
  2. save video to your camera roll
  3. Go to Photos , find your videos, tap select in the top right and touch the video  you wish to use. It will show a blue check on the video
  4. Click the share button (looks like a box with an arrow coming out of it on my phone)
  5. select YouTube
  6. sign into your Youtube account if not already signed in
  7. give the video a title, a description, decide if you want it public, unlisted, or private, and tap "publish" at the top right of the screen.

If you have any trouble or if the video is long, I recommend uploading to YouTube via an app called YouTube Capture. It is great!

This is Ms. Gurthie's place for students at Piedmont and elsewhere to find resources to fuel their passions. Besides making fun lesson ideas for teachers, I wanted this space to provide PD for students too!
