 Ingredients to a good movie:

  • Good footage - include interviews as well as action.
  • Good editing-
    • keep only the best quotes and action clips
    • if it doesn't advance your story, delete it.
    • Keep it under 2 minutes.
    • Add titles, graphics, sound effects, music as desired.
    • Read more tips and advice here

To film and/or edit you can use:
  • a BYOT device (phone, etc)
  • a school iPad - check out a Media Center iPad
  • your Chrombeook

Video can be shared among devices by uploading it to Google Drive. Shorter clips are easier to upload.

  2. Club day video -Get footage of different clubs in action and then create a video of the club in action
  3. Favorite teacher video - make a video about a teacher and why they're awesome
  4. Sports videos- make a video interviewing sports players and coaches and get some footage at a game to top it off

This is Ms. Gurthie's place for students at Piedmont and elsewhere to find resources to fuel their passions. Besides making fun lesson ideas for teachers, I wanted this space to provide PD for students too!
