Earlier this school year, current 6th, 7th and 8th graders led an open house tour for potenital families. In this video, Piedmont students share what Piedmont is all about and give advice for making the most of middle school.
Watching reminds me of how lucky we are to be at a place that pushes students to be their best while having their back all along the journey.

Her sixth grade co team leader and fellow Individuals and societies teacher, Mr. O'Neill, calls her "endlessly positive."
Her administrators count on her reliable leadership. Her fellow faculty members voted her to represent us in CMS's Central Learning Community 2018 Teacher of the Year. Through her years at Piedmont, Ms Whiting has been a model teacher, running her classroom and spelling and geo bees with equal ease. Most of all, her students love her, too. Here is footage of Ms Whiting's class reacting to the happy surprise this morning:
It says it all that not only her first block, but students from neighboring classrooms rushed to celebrate as Ms. Barone delivered a bouquet of flowers and congratulations from all of us here at Piedmont.
