  Piedmont placed 1st in the nation in two areas of Science Olympiad and took 4th overall! I'll pause a moment to let that sink in: out of every school in this this vast land of ours, Piedmont students are the best in the USA at small machines and solar system science. This is truly worth celebrating! Congratulations to the team-members, coaches and parents! We recognize and appreciate all your hard work that led you to this point! Go Piedmont!  Coach Fatz' face says it all.  So many medals. The team brought home ten!  Team reacts to their surprise welcome home upon arriving at the Charlotte airport.
