Get students to retain your info by having them create with it--This project can be personalized to your topic (an award ceremony for the characters in your novel for ELA, geographic or historical era in SS or WL, or even anthropomorphize your grammar, science or math topic and make academy awards for parts of speech, parts of a cell, order or operations, parts of a plant, etc. http://www.pblproject.com/page.aspx?pageid=PBL-ww-Oscars If your students don't like the Oscars, let them change the project to the Grammys, or an Olympic opening ceremony with your curriculum characters, events, or vocab as different singers, olympians or teams.
